The reporting engine MailMerge is used to merge templates with data. In combination with the HTML5 based MVC editor Web.TextControl, the created template can be merged in the MVC controller and loaded back into the view.

We published a new set of sample templates with easy to understand XML files as data sources without any relations and sub-tables to keep it very simple. You can load these templates into the designer TX Text Control Words and remap the fields matching your data source.

We exhibited at the BASTA! Spring 2016 in Darmstadt, Germany. We gave demos of our reporting tools to interested attendees and existing users. It is always a lot of fun to meet with users in person and to connect.

The MailMerge class has three methods to start the merge process. This article explains when to use which method.

An electronic signature is in many processes legally sufficient to prove an identity. This sample project shows how to use the MailMerge class to populate a signature template with a signature image and the name of the signer. This merged template is then loaded into a text frame with a specific name placed in a contract document.
